SparxUp Awards 2011 Winner List

SparxUp Awards 2011 has been in final stage. After going through judgment process, finally the SparxUp Awards winners are decided. They are divided into 8 categories. They will still compete to get the Best of the Best 2011. Last year, Gantibaju and LewatMana are chosen as The Best Rising Star and The Most Promising Startup. This year, the awarding night will be held at Kempinski Grand Ballroom, Grand Indonesia, on October 21st , 2011.

There are three winners for each category, except for Best WAP that only has 1 winner. Totally, there are 25 startups and products awarded. They are:

Besides the opportunity to do pitching before the board of juries in the SparxUp Awards 2011 awarding night, each winner of the 8 categories will get:

  1. FREE hosting VPS B for a year on Jagoanhosting.com (the value is about IDR 6.000.000)
  2. Samsung Galaxy S 5” Wifi (except General Mobile Apps category)
  3. Trophy, winner badge, and publication

There will be THE BEST RISING STAR that will get IDR 150.000.000, mentoring session for 6 months, trophy, winner badge and publication. While THE MOST PROMISING STARTUP will get IDR 50.000.000, mentoring session for 6 months, trophy, winner badge, and publication.

  1. I’ve been wondering almost all of these events involve the same companies again and again. Does it mean that some of these ‘startups’ are essentially running on a parade round, presumably against different sets of investors, continually nominated but not never quite closing their funding rounds? 

    Can anyone explain why that is?

  2. Congrats to everyone but isn’t Mysellr a Swedish company? I don’t mean just the shareholders but seems to me the site just expanded it’s focus to Indonesia.
