TouchTen Aims to Crowdfund “Target Acquired” through Kickstarter

TouchTen is currently on the course of targeting $10.000 funding in 30 days through the Kickstarter campaign to support the development of its latest project, ‘Target Acquired’. It collaborates with a number of prominent players in the gaming industry to create this new mobile games.

The Jakarta-based game developer has appointed Ryo Teruya, former Square Enix Indonesia’s CEO, as the project’s design consultant and Manami Matsumae, the man behind ‘Mega Man’, as its music composer to perfect the game.

‘Target Acquired’ is a side-scrolling game in which the main character keeps running while avoiding obstacles and fighting his enemies. Just imagine ‘Mega Man’ and ‘Temple Run’ getting combined, and you will have ‘Target Acquired’’s game play. Considering the exceptional graphic and exciting story that it would possess, it’s normal that TouchTen expect to gather $10.000 or Rp 120 million from the campaign.

According to e27 (28/10), TouchTen is one prominent game developers in Southeast Asia. Their previous projects, i.e Infinite Sky, Train Legend, Cute Kill, and Ramen Chain even got featured on Google Play’s main page. In total, TouchTen has produced no less than 20 titles which have been downloaded more then 10 million times.

And this is the first time the developer joins Kickstarter’s funding campaign.

TouchTen confidentially claims that Target Acquired is more than just a game, it’s a new universe. Anton Soeharyo, TouchTen’s CEO, has even prepared rewards in form of the replica of guns used by the main character in the game, Yura Anders, to TouchTen’s special investors.

To get involved in the campaign, TouchTen has set the funding’s rage, starting from $5 to $5000. The investors will get various rewards, such as digital wallpapers, action figures, and gun replicas, depending on the nominal they invest. The company even offers a free tour to its office for 2 lucky investors who dare to invest $5000.

This TouchTen’s Kickstarter campaign was officially started on October 28 and will last for the next 30 days. So far, the company has collected $2500 from 36 investors in only two days since the campaign was opened for business, and still has 28 days to collect the rest $7500. If everything goes according to the plan, TouchTen will start the first phase of the project’s development this coming December.
