Indonesia Next App 2.0 is Back

After successfully holding last year’s Indonesia Next App, Samsung and Telkomsel are back to present Indonesia Next App 2.0 that challenges developers in Indonesia to submit their creative ideas in mobile app creation. This year, the organizers set the Internet of Things (IoT) concept, health services, and on-demand economy services as the event’s focus.

“Compared to last year’s event, Indonesia Next App 2.0 focuses on three categories, which are IoT-based Smart Living, health services and on-demand economy services. We are pretty sure that the local developers can accommodate local needs by creating the right apps. Therefore, Samsung partners with Telkomsel and DailySocial to present the competition so that we may encourage local developers and young generation of Indonesia to create beneficial apps for now and the future,” Joedi Wisoeda, Head of Samsung Mobile Product Marketing, stated.

Samsung’s virtue as a South Korea-based technology giant is expected to draw as many talented local champions who are able to submit their apps in INA 2015 as possible. Within the process, the participants must go through two selection phases, before finally getting crowned as the champion and winning various occupying prizes presented by Samsung and Telkomsel.

In the spirit of welcoming INA 2015, the organizers have planned to hold workshop within a series of roadshow in two big cities, Bandung and Yogyakarta, in which Samsung will present technical evangelist as well as comprehensive non-technical understanding that would offer insight and opportunities for the participants to execute their ideas according to the designated theme.  The event will also be the best opportunity to dig more tips right from the experts, including last year’s INA judges and participants.

Technical understanding encompasses information on Samsung’s API that goes with the IoT concept in home security and convenience as well as the management of electricity and water which can be cut so that people may save more money and be more efficient. As for the health aspect, participants are expected to be able to present inter-app data which is connected within the S-Health API, so is the on-demand economy trend prepared by Samsung.

“The apps we’re looking for are apps that not only inspire the future, but also offer benefits to people living in the meantime. Samsung invites the youth to go hand in hand in preparing a better future for the people of Indonesia,” he ended.
