Darisini Adds Route, Fare Information And Route Search Feature

Darisini, a local directory application, has just improved its ability in guiding the users to explore the city. By the release of its 2.3.3 version in the App Store (read also: The Android Version of Darisini is No Longer Available), Darisini is now completed with Trans Jakarta and Trans jogja Busway route to be used as one of alternatives for the users to look for an option of transportation.

Busway indeed has been one of vital transportation options for Jakarta and Jogja local citizens. Its route which has reached many public destinations has made the additional features of the application which is developed by a local developer, Kakilangit, become even more helpful in guiding people who want to travel in those two cities.

To access the Busway route feature, the users only have to select the transportation category which is displayed in the front page or manage the display of sub-categories in the setting menu. Once they are in, the users can find any Busway route option which can be filtered by typing the keyword or by searching for nearby stops.

The information provided is quite complete and accurate. Not only giving you information about the nearby Busway stops, this application can also give complete information on the route as well as the number of corridor and colors which can ease the users to verify the information. Moreover, the fare estimation is also displayed along with the information. This will is extremely helpful for those who are not familiar with Busway services.

To support those features, Darisini uses Transportumum.com services as its source of information related to the Busway corridor route. This is similar to the effort of displaying the train schedule by taking the information from krl.co.id. Although we personally have not tried the application to explore Jogja, but it should work as well with the Trans Jogja Busway services.

In short, the presence of Busway route feature completes the city directory guidance services provided by Darisini. These additional features also strengthen Darisini, so that it may compete well with similar application, such as Isikota.

Furthermore, those additional features have also proved that Darisini is not a stagnant application. As what we have reported for several times, Darisini often only does ‘minor’ improvements, such as re-designing the iOS 7 version, without adding any new features. Darisini even ever had the plan to develop the Augmented Reality feature, even though the project seems to be halted at the moment. Hopefully by adding some new features, Darisini can be more innovative, practical, and useful.
