KerjaDulu Closes Funding from Chairman of Astra International

KerjaDulu, which is commonly associated as Indonesian LinkedIn, has just announced a six-digit USD funding (around Rp 1,2 to 12 billion) from an angel investor. In this case, the angel is Chairman of Astra International Budi Setiadharma. The startup looks to allocate the funding to its technology enhancement, team development, sales growth, and partnership increase.

Due to this funding, Arya Pradana Setiadharma and Ardi Dwinanta Setiadharma will hold a position at the startup’s executive board as director and commissioner. FYI, both of them were the initiating investor of Klik-eat before the startup got acquired by Yume no Machi and IMJ Investment Partners.

Regarding the funding, Chris Liu, KerjaDulu’s Founder and CEO, stated in his press release, “The social recruitment market will have an exponential growth. We are so pleased to get supported by Indonesian biggest company’s Head of Commissioner. As a prominent entrepreneur, Budi Setiadharma’s experience at Astra is priceless. I do hope to learn a lot from him.”

Budi Setiadharma also commented about his funding in KerjaDulu,”Recruitment plays a fundamental part in our economy, thus fresh innovation and solution to the conventional way of seeking jobs are really crucial. We decided to invest at KerjaDulu because we are impressed by the experienced developing team that it has as well as its innovative social recruitment platform.”

KerjaDulu has given opportunities to Indonesian professionals to socialize and find new potential employment for free ever since its establishment in 2013. The platform has just had a website renovation earlier this year. Looking to present an intuitive, modern, and easy-to-navigate platform for entrepreneurs and professionals, KerjaDulu added a number of new features.

Despite the fact that there are still many people doubting their capability due to its likeliness to LinkedIn, KerjaDulu has never stopped doing the best and this funding may ease the platform to do even much better.

That being said, it’s normal for Liu to say, “In the future, the recruitment process will be based on social perspectives.”
