iMulai, a business innovation competition which entering the fourth year this year, announced the winners on May 24.
Located at Balai Kartini Jakarta, iMulai announced the best 10 proposals that get a prize worth US$300.000. The prize is a part of Microsoft’s BizSpark for IT (Information Technology) startup, hardware that supports it, as well as the participation in special training to help in developing their business innovation.
In the list of the 10 best proposals and the 50 best proposals, appear the names of new startups and services that were previously unknown. Some services have been released and can be used, while others are still in prototype phase. Some startups also offer a service that never available before.
Here’s the list of the 10 best proposals in the iMulai 4.0 competition received by DailySocial:
- Permit Application by a software house from Yogyakarta, Gamatechno. This application has been released.
- Digital book distribution platform by PT. Techbator.
- Fokado, e-commerce site for gifts in the form of experience. Fokado is a graduate of Jakarta Founder Institute First Class.
- Ngajar.Com, the work of developer from Bandung, CV. Javan IT Services. Currently, Ngajar.Com is still in prototype form.
- SaveMillions, also still in prototype form, by PT. Konsep Dot Net, Bandung.
- Triptrus, an online travel agent by PT Jalan Terus Indonesia. Triptrus attracted considerable attention in the winner announcement event.
- Try Out Mandiri, a service to help student learning. This service is made by PT. Alfasoft, Malang. This service is also still in the prototype form.
- Tutor, also still in prototype. From the website, it seems that this is a service facilitating in finding a tutor.
- U-Antri, by M Ali Fauzi (Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember). U-Antri is an online queue system. We can take a queue number before coming to the destination.
- Yipiyu, by Aris Suryadi, a reward platform. Currently still in prototype form.
In addition to those winners, iMulai also gave two special awards. The first is a special award to the innovators who come from outside Java. The award is given to Bukukan, Katabuku.com, Ngaku.in and Wisata Nasional. The second is a special award for women participation given to investment and marketplace application Pohon Online, Calorie Guide, Fashion Hills GeoOrders, Ngajar.com SocialMeter and Tutor.
iMulai is a national business innovation competition sponsored by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Microsoft Indonesia. The competition was open since March. The winners of iMulai 3.0 competition last year are Rockto, Prohukum, Ngatur Duit and Football Saga project and NyanyiYuk from Agate Studio.
