Event: First Day Coverage of Agate Mobile Game Developer Camp (Video)

Mobile Game Developer Camp event that was held by Agate and sponsored by Nokia has entered the first day. This workshop event will be held for two weeks starting from March 17, 2011 until 30 March 2011. Then on March 31, 2011 there will be a mobile game developers war in Bandung, as well as the National final will be held at the end of April 2011.

DailySocial visited the location of the event to see the enthusiasm of the participants and have some interviews with one of the workshop presenters at the event.

I was impressed with the event venue of this workshop, DGS or DigiGames, a game center located in Premiere Plaza, Jalan Cihampelas Bandung, Jawa Barat – Indonesia. Although the area to explain the matter was somewhat less representative, but the work space to develop games for the artist/graphic designer and programmer was highly representative with very adequate facilities. There were four rooms with 24 hour access, high-end PCs, internet access and other facilities for the artist/graphic designer. Later on the handset testing would be provided in the form of mobile phone handsets from Nokia.

The mobile developer camp event had just began, but from the information committee there are still some participants who could not attend because of class or absent. Some participants also had formed a team (one artist/graphic designer and a programmer), some are not (the team will be established at the time of workshop). From the information I got, there were about 43 people coming that day, 28 programmers and 15 artists/graphic designer with various background, ranging from vocational students, students, freelancers to lecturers.

The workshop would still continue, from the information committee, the enthusiasm of participants has also been seen, hopefully until the end of the workshop. So, later in the mobile game developers war, which will be held at the end of the workshop, the existing J2ME-based games could present an interesting game show.

Here the atmosphere of the workshops and interviews with Nathalia Noor, one of the material providers for the artist/graphic designer who is also a 2D artist at Agate Studio. Additional informations is available in DailySocial articles on this link.
