Go-Jek’s arrival in Singapore is getting closer. Today, they launched a pre-registration portal for Singapore people interested to be Go-Jek drivers. Those who registered in the portal will receive more detailed notification from Go-Jek regarding registration steps to join Go-Jek Singapore.
Go-Jek is yet to release the exact date for official launching. However, their representative said in the official page that the portal is an important step for the next partner recruitment process.
In the portal, Go-Jek will only list the four-wheeler drivers while the two-wheeler doesn’t acquire the license as the transportation vehicle in Singapore.
“There are interest options for driver [to be a partner] in Singapore and we’re glad to take an important first step in driver acquisition. In Go-Jek, we understand the important role of drivers for a successful operation, that’s why we waited to build a strong and attractive connection with driver communities,” Go-Jek’s representative said.
Founded in Jakarta since 2011, Go-Jek turned into one of the leading digital company. Not only providing transportation, Go-Jek currently owns many verticals include those in lifestyle, health, and fintech sector.
Go-Jek’s presence in Singapore will continue its expansion which was previously activated. Go-Jek was first arrived in Vietnam with Go-Viet, followed by Thailand with GET, and in an attempt to penetrate the Philippines market. In Singapore, Go-Jek will meet one of its biggest competitor, Grab, which recently received funding from Microsoft.
