HootSuite Dashboard Now Available in Indonesian

Hoot Suite recognises Indonesia’s prominence in the social media world as one of the most active countries and to commemorate the country’s anniversary of the Declaration of Independence as well as marking the end of Eid, Hoot Suite has released its dashboard and mobile applications in Indonesian.

In a blog post, Hoot Suite mentioned that for the translation project, the company had a lot of help from several Indonesians and was completed in much shorter time than the company’s other translation projects.

Hoot Suite also released Indonesian Lady Owl, the company’s mascot wearing the Indonesian dress, kebaya. The Indonesian Lady Owl serves as a companion to the Indonesian Owl released in September last year.

As of July, there had been 160,000 Indonesian users of Hoot Suite. This figure continuously rise as every day there are 1000 new Indonesian Hoot Suite users that sign up. The majority of Indonesian users are on free accounts, very few have actually migrated to the paid version.

After localizing the dashboard into Indonesian, this year Hoot Suite also has several plans in mind for Indonesia. In an interview with e27 last July, Hoot Suite’s vice president of community, Dave Olson, said that the company plans to add a payment platform that would fit the needs and customs of  Indonesians. Aside from that, they are exploring the possibility of launching a gift pack service that’s already available in other markets.

Prior to this, between June and July Hoot Suite held Hoot Up sessions to engage the community of Hoot Suite users in Indonesia. This event was held 12 times in two months and was attended by more than 400 people collectively.
