The competition of app-based ojek services keep on getting stricter and stricter nowadays. Just yesterday (8/10), another service whose exclusivity is on hiring only female drivers, LadyJek, was officially launched. LadyJek’s main focus is safety, both for its drivers and users. In this case, LadyJek provides two safety features, namely panic button and live tracking. LadyJek is currently available at Google Play, with its iOS version will soon be available to download.
LadyJek emerges from the founders’ concern on the lack of safety and security offered by existing players in public transportation sector towards female users.
“LadyJek is born because we want to present something that can be used by female users in Indonesia,” LadyJek’s CEO Brian Mulyadi stated during the product launching in Jakarta.
To avoid unwanted things from happening, drivers are suggested not to work till late night. LadyJek also applies an assessment system to set the satisfaction standard for of all its drivers and users.
Partnering with XL and Bank Mandiri
Users of LadyJek may use the service, which is equipped with the eta information, distance, and price, at ease. The tariff set is Rp 25,000 for the first 6 km, and Rp 4,000 for each next km.
LadyJek supports various payment mehods, from cash to XL Tunai and Mandiri E-Cash. The team partner with XL for XL starter packs for the drivers and AXA Mandiri for insurance service for both drivers and users.
LadyJek is currently still recruiting new drivers. There are three locations in Cengkareng, Bekasi, and Tangerang prepared for those who are interested in being one.
To be a LadyJek driver, you will have to pass physical and driving test held by the team. During the launching, LadyJek claimed that it has already had 200 drivers who’re ready to serve.
To encourage its business growth, LadyJek offers a promo of free first trip for every customer during October 2015. For the time being, LadyJek only serves Jabodetabek.
“By focusing on safety and security, we believe that LadyJek is the right solution for female,” Mulyadi concluded.
