Plasa.com Is Going Girly?

Remember when we said about a rumor on Plasa.com’s rebranding effort? Well, we are almost certainly right. Shocking.

Since their new CEO Iriana Muadz took over, it is almost certain that Plasa.com will be rebranded following the lack of traction from their latest campaign that includes live TV shows and their online campaigns. Sure enough, we just received an invitation from Plasa.com for their Press Conference event early next week in Jakarta. The invitation states nothing about the rebranding, but the event rundown tells us something about the new direction they’re heading to.

The event rundown consists of Plasa.com‘s new brand ambassador (Rianti Cartwright), a “self-improvement” talk show, a fashion show and  … wait for it … make up tips and tricks workshop! True story.

Of course this doesn’t entirely means that Plasa.com is going to that direction, maybe this is just one of their campaign to attract female audience. After all, based on our latest research about ecommerce, young female in big cities tend to spend more money buying things online.

We’ll keep you posted once we get more information about Plasa’s rebranding.

  1. Rama, what was shocking? The rebrandding effort, its results, or the fact that you were almost right 🙂 ?
