Premium Restaurant Member App “Alacarte” is officially launched in Jakarta, today (12/7) after conducting beta test for the last three months. Alacarte offers its member a buy one get one meal in the well-known partner restaurants. The member can enjoy appetizer, main course, desserts, cocktails and others. User target is the middle to upper class and young executives.

Alacarte establishment is began in early 2017 by Ferdinand Sutanto (CEO), Low Meng Ee Kenneth (COO), and Philip Chen (Director). Those three are seeing in Jakarta alone, there are more than 380 million restaurant transaction worth US$ 1,5 billion in a year.

Seeing this number, it appears that Jakartans are more likely to gather in the restaurant to eat. However, the problem lies in the traffic, making an eat-together option difficult due to its expensive price.

“We want to be a bridge for restaurant owner and consumer by introducing products beneficial for both parties. Members can explore new restaurants while saving up to 50% of the total bill,” Ferdinand Sutanto, Alacarte’s CEO, explained, on Thursday (12/7).

Sutanto claimed the company has received investment from angel investor whose identity cannot be revealed. Alacarte app is available in Play Store and App Store.

Saving by subscribing

By joining membership, he claims, Alacarte users can save over 50 millions per year. It assumed from the amount of partnered restaurants related with saving up to 50% of total payment.

To enjoy the offer, user must pay for membership fee. There are two types of membership, a lite membership at price 199k for a month before yearly membership. The second one, premium membership at price 599k for a year.

A partnership mechanism between Alacarte and the restaurant will be, each restaurant provides 3 types of buy 1 get 1 promotion. Premium member can take all three in one, yet unable to re-redeem for the same promotion. Redeem time is throughout the active year of membership.

For lite members, they only get to choose one among the three. After the selection, other two promotion will be automatically blocked.

For Ferdinand, by applying the mechanism, it will certainly benefit the restaurant owner and members. The restaurant owner will get new customers fit to the target market, increase the visiting number and cross-sells through the buy 1 get 1 offer. Meanwhile for the members, they can enjoy new restaurants at cost-efficient price.

Currently, Alacarte is partnered with more than 100 restaurant in middle scale to upper class located in Jakarta. There are more than 300 offers for members to enjoy
