Rappler Indonesia Contents to be Available at IDN Times

IDN Media announces the collaboration with Rappler Indonesia to enrich its news content. The focus is to provide contents that can be consumed by millennials and gen Z. By this partnership, all Rappler Indonesia’s contents will be posted on rappler.idntimes.com.

IDN Times is well-known as news portal focused on entertainment and lifestyle. Rappler presence is to expand content segments to longform format and investigation-style news. According to IDN Media, the current form of the collaboration is not final.

Regarding editorial team, IDN Media informed us that each editorial team will be working separately. Rappler was launched in 2012 and has become a popular news portal in the Philippines and Indonesia became its first expansion in 2015.

Winston Utomo, IDN Media’s CEO and Editor-In-Chief, admired Rappler’s reputation in the digital media industry and optimistic that this collaboration will strengthen IDN Media’s position as the leading digital media company for millennials and Gen Z in Indonesia.

“We are very excited for this collaboration with Rappler. With strong concept, we are optimistic that IDN Media can realize its vision to be the voice of millennial and Gen Z in Indonesia.” he added.

Having similar opinion, Rappler’s CEO Maria Ressa said that this collaboration is in line with Rappler’s focus on young generation.

“IDN Media and Rappler share the same value as independent and content focused company for young generation. The collaboration has paved the road for Rappler, along with IDN Media, to deliver useful content for the youth.” Ressa said.

“In the future, we expect to present Rappler’s expertise and experience in IDN Media. For Rappler, we want to provide a platform, where Indonesians can find the essentials in their lives and give opinions, as [what] we have done in the Philippines.” she continued.
