SaaS platform developer for business trip Travelstop (8/27) receives seed funding worth of IDR 17 billion. A Singapore-based startup allows business to manage the whole accommodation using AI-based tools. The seed funding investment was led by SeedPlus, supported by several angel investors.
One focus of this funding is to finalize business expansion, including Indonesia. Observed from the research by Travelstop, Asia Pacific will be the largest B2B travel market. It’s projected to grow up to 10.4% CAGR during 2015-2023. The business trip solution is currently for large companies and traditional business travelers, while the trip with no management in Asia, dominated by millennials, requires more flexible and simple solutions.
“These travelers want to experience more than a trip, and the company is building a modern business trip platform for the next generation. Our goal is not only to provide a fun and flexible travel booking experience but also to make the post-trip cost management more efficient,” Prashant Kirtane, Travelstop’s CEO said.
Travelstop aims to solve this problem through a platform that makes a business trip easier to order and automates expense report for employees. They’re using machine learning and personalization supported by artificial intelligence to create flight and hotel recommendations, shorten the process for business travelers for researching and arranging a trip. Employees also have access to an intuitive expense reporting tool which simplifies the reimburse process.
“We aim to use machine learning and artificial intelligence to escalate experience for the current business travelers, we’ll be ready and flexible by investing in modern infrastructure to advance our business platform,” Vijay Aggarwal, Travelstop’s CTO, said.
This platform provides features to facilitate business with accommodation trip arrangements. Through the app, businesses can automate the reporting process. A data-based approach is applied to all decisions made was scaleable. Another thing is the simplification of the efficient travel accommodation research process, operational teams sometimes have to choose and sort out the accommodation based on certain criteria.
