Squline Secures Series A Funding, Focused on Technology Development and New Talent Acquisition

An online-course platform Squline officially announces it has received Series A funding from Investidea Ventures, participated by some other investors, with no further detail. In its official release, the fundraising has reached “seven-digit US Dollar”.

Squiline will use the fresh funding to support technology development, new talent acquisitions, and product expansion in 2019. The latest round allows Squline to tighten its position as a digital platform for language live course in Indonesia.

Founded in 2014, Squline has offered new innovations in the traditional language learning industry. Starting with Mandarin course in 2014, English in 2015, and Japanese in 2016 for Indonesian users. In addition, they also launch the Indonesian language course this year, targeting expatriates in Indonesia and the international market.

Squline considered live video call and text conversation education concept to make the learning process more effective and to connect students and teachers from all around the Asia Pacific.

“We’ll develop more affordable solutions while promoting effective ways to learn the language online. It’ll also encourage market expansion to market level B and C of Indonesian users and improve the competitive skill. It is our main mission to create a learning environment without limits,” Tomy Yunus, Squline’s Co-Founder and CEO, said.

Squline has collaborated with local and international education institutions, including Beijing Language Culture College, Atmajaya University and Universitas Indonesia. To date, Squline has more than 5000 users all over Indonesia.

An alum of Telkomsel TheNextDev 2017 program, it has also launched business in Australia. It’s said to be big market to learn the Indonesian language.
