T-CASH’s Focus as Agnostic Product and Plan to Spin Off From Telkomsel

Telkomsel’s mobile money product which already developed since 2015, T-CASH, has gone through several changes in the edge of 2017. Next year, T-CASH will try to be “free” from Telkomsel and become an independent platform (agnostic); able to use by wider audiences, not only Telkomsel users.

T-CASH’s CEO Danu Wicaksana said to DailySocial, public adoption in 2017 shows positive trend, visible from T-CASH registered users that have reached 10 millions in 34 provinces.

“In 2017, T-CASH will be focused on building strong CICO (Cash-In-Cash-Out) points ecosystem throughout Indonesia, both in big and small cities, adding T-CASH use case and services, strengthening merchant networks receiving T-CASH, improving platform’s reliability and performance, both mobile app and its backend system.”

In addition, T-CASH will improve awareness regarding products and guidelines for larger public to gain new users.

About 2018’s plan, Wicaksana, who previously was Berrybenka’s Managing Director, clearly said to continue his commitment in providing various kinds of innovative products and services for public, in order to support cashless society ecosystem.

“Few examples of innovative technology we plan to develop is e-KYC (electronic-Know Your Customer), dynamic QR code, face-recognition login technology and so on. For services, we offer various kinds of financial products to our customers such as insurance, loan and others,” said Wicaksana.

Spin off plan

To be able to grow faster, T-CASH plans to spin off from Telkomsel and run as an independent business. Related to the plan, Wicaksana confirms there is indeed a future intention.

In claiming to be agnostic product, T-CASH’s next strategy is to serve public without having to be Telkomsel users.

“We have plans in several months ahead to make T-CASH as an agnostic product of electronic money. It can be used by customers from any mobile network operators in Indonesia,” Wicaksana concluded.
