Alibaba Umumkan Nominasi Final AsiaStar 10×10

Kiprah startup di kawasan Asia Tenggara kembali berhasil menarik perhatian global. Berkat pertumbuhan industri digital yang berkembang dan demografis ekonomi yang berpotensi, menjadikan ekosistem startup di kawasan ini patut menerima apresiasi. Sebagai bagian dari inisiatif Project AsiaForward, Alibaba Cloud menyambut keragaman pencapaian dari berbagai entitas teknologi, dengan menggandeng sejumlah mitra di dalam ekosistem teknologi dari Asia Tenggara.

Melalui AsiaStar 10×10, inisiatif ini memberikan sejumlah penghargaan terbaik bagi 100 perusahaan, komunitas, dan proyek di sepuluh kategori dari kawasan ini. Dalam keterangannya, para penerima penghargaan yang terpilih telah melalui proses kurasi ketat yang dilakukan langsung oleh pihak Alibaba Cloud, regulator, investor, expertise, dan juga kalangan media, dengan aspek penilaian yang meliputi aspek revenue, pendanaan, dampak, keunikan, potensi dan masih banyak lainnya.

Dari proses evaluasi yang telah dilangsungkan, berikut nama-nama penerima penghargaan dari yang dibagi dalam setiap kategori:

1. Trailblazers
Merupakan kategori yang diisi oleh perusahaan yang telah menerima pendanaan seri-B hingga pre-IPO, yang telah berperan secara esensial dalam memajukan ekosistem teknologi di kawasan. Berikut nama penerima penghargaan: Aerodyne, Kumu, NinjaVan, ShopBack, Sunday, GrowSari, eFishery, MoMo, Kopi Kenangan, dan Jirnexu.

2. Gamechangers
Merupakan kategori yang diisi oleh perusahaan yang berhasil menetapkan rekor terkait aksi korporasi di kawasan Asia Tenggara seperti; IPO Grab, IPO Bukalapak, merger antara Gojek dan Tokopedia, pertumbuhan eksplosif GCash, pendanaan seri-A Avant Meat, ekspansi global dari TiNDLE, pengakuisisian 2C2P oleh Ant Financial, ekspansi VinFast EV ke pasar Amerika Utara dan juga dua perusahaan yang melantai di bursa saham Amerika Serikat seperti Society Pass (NASDAQ) dan PropertyGuru (NYSE).

3. Growth
Startup early-stage yang diketahui telah mengembangkan produk dan solusi yang inovatif dan unik, serta berhasil memperoleh pendanaan seri-B seperti; ProfilePrint, SariSuki, AiTreat, Rovula, Duckie Land, Eatcosys, GlobalTrack Smart Logistics, PolicyStreet, Speedwork Autocare, dan KAMEREO.

4. Enablers
Diisi oleh perusahaan berbasis SaaS yang mampu menyediakan dukungan krusial bagi perusahaan di setiap lini. Startup yang di kategori ini ialah; aCommerce, ADVANCE.AI, Dropee, Mekari, NexMind, PatSnap, Peddlr, Sprout Solutions, Wiz.ai, Xendit.

5. Explorers
Kategori ini diisi oleh startup yang berasal dari Tiongkok yang berhasil mendirikan fundamental kuat di kawasan seperti; PingCAP, Cyclone, Dianxiaomi, Agora, J&T Express, SUNMI, Hago, Mobvista, 37GAMES, dan TapTap.

6. Open Source
Merupakan kategori yang ditujukan bagi proyek-proyek yang telah memberikan akselerasi bagi perkembangan digital di kawasan dengan menyediakan inisiatif dan tools yang dapat digunakan untuk pengembangan aplikasi baru seperti; ABYRES, Bluzelle, LottieFiles, MAPID, NukeViet, Somleng, SpaceChain, Supabase, Unicorn, and UniKey.

7. Frontiers
Kategori ini berisikan startup-startup yang diklaim telah mengembangkan produk dengan teknologi mutakhir seperti teknologi komputasi quantum, biotech & medical advancements, space-tech, dan lainnya. Startup di dalam kategori ini yaitu; Baiya Phytopharm, Cortical Labs, EyRIS, Gero, MiRXES, Nusantics, SpeQtral, Transcelestial, WIR Group, dan Yobite.

8. Impact
Kategori ini diisi oleh startup yang memiliki pertumbuhan signifikan dari skala grassroot hingga advance seperti; Agrabah Ventures, Amaan, Bidanku, Magorium, Mio, Saora Industries, Sati App, Super, Umitron, dan Zennya.

9. Launchpads
Kategori ini diisi oleh startup di bidang edukasi, inkubator, dan accelerator yang telah menyediakan lingkungan untuk pertumbuhan startup seperti; BLOCK71 (NUS), CU Innovation Hub, Draper Startup House, IMDA Innovation Team, Indigo, QBO Innovation Hub, ScaleUp Malaysia, SMU Institute of Innovation & Entrepreneurship (SMU IIE), UEH Institute of Innovation (UEH UII), dan UPSCALE Innovation Hub.

10. Investors

Southeast Asia continues to attract global capital and talent to the region due to its young population and potential for economic growth. As part of its Project AsiaForward initiative, Alibaba Cloud has teamed up with tech ecosystem partners to celebrate the diverse achievements of tech-driven entities in Southeast Asia.

Known as AsiaStar 10×10, the initiative gives recognition to 100 companies, communities, and projects in ten categories across the region. The awardees were selected from the list of final nominees curated by representatives of Alibaba Cloud, government agencies, investors, industry experts, and media outlets. They considered a variety of factors, such as revenue, funding, impact, uniqueness, potential, and more.

After thorough  evaluation by representatives of government agencies, investors, and media outlets, these are the final awardees for each category:

  1. Trailblazers: Series B to pre-IPO companies that have played an essential role in driving technological innovation in the region. These are the final awardees: Aerodyne, Kumu, NinjaVan, ShopBack, Sunday, GrowSari, eFishery, MoMo, Kopi Kenangan, and Jirnexu.
  2. Gamechangers: Company moves that set precedents or broke records in Southeast Asia.  There are Grab’s IPO, Bukalapak’s IPO, Merger deal between Gojek and Tokopedia, GCash’s explosive growth, Avant Meats’s Series A funding round, TiNDLE’s global expansion, 2C2P acquired by Ant Financial, VinFast EVs’s expansion into North America, Society Pass’s listing on NASDAQ, and PropertyGuru’s listing on NYSE.
  3. Growth: Early-stage startups that are developing unique and innovative products and solutions, and have raised funds up to Series B, such as ProfilePrint, SariSuki, AiTreat, Rovula, Duckie Land, Eatcosys, GlobalTrack Smart Logistics, PolicyStreet, Speedwork Autocare, and KAMEREO.
  4. Enablers: SaaS companies that provide crucial support to enterprises of every stripe, there are aCommerce, ADVANCE.AI, Dropee, Mekari, NexMind, PatSnap, Peddlr, Sprout Solutions, Wiz.ai, Xendit.
  5. Explorers: Chinese startups that have successfully ventured into the region and established a strong presence, such as PingCAP, Cyclone, Dianxiaomi, Agora, J&T Express, SUNMI, Hago, Mobvista, 37GAMES, and TapTap.
  6. Open Source: Projects that have accelerated the region’s digitalization by giving other entities the tools they need to build new applications, there are ABYRES, Bluzelle, LottieFiles, MAPID, NukeViet, Somleng, SpaceChain, Supabase, Unicorn, and UniKey.
  7. Frontiers: Startups that are developing deeply technical products, such as quantum computing, biotech and medical advancements, space tech, and more. The final awardees are Baiya Phytopharm, Cortical Labs, EyRIS, Gero, MiRXES, Nusantics, SpeQtral, Transcelestial, WIR Group, and Yobite.
  8. Impact: Startups that have brought about significant grassroots-level advancements where they operate, such as Agrabah Ventures, Amaan, Bidanku, Magorium, Mio, Saora Industries, Sati App, Super, Umitron, and Zennya.
  9. Launchpads: Educational institutions, incubators, and accelerators that have provided safe environments to nurture great startups, there are BLOCK71 (NUS), CU Innovation Hub, Draper Startup House, IMDA Innovation Team, Indigo, QBO Innovation Hub, ScaleUp Malaysia, SMU Institute of Innovation & Entrepreneurship (SMU IIE), UEH Institute of Innovation (UEH UII), and UPSCALE Innovation Hub.
  10. Investors: Equity firms that provide the fuel startups need to grow, and are evaluated for the impact they showcase, such as Alpha JWC, East Ventures, Gobi Partners, iGlobe Partners, Kickstart, Quest Ventures, ThinkZone Ventures, Venturra Capital, Vertex Ventures SEAI, and Vietnam Silicon Valley (VSV) Capital.
