Another startup comes from Jogjakarta called BakoelTiket.com. The name is quite unique, drawn from Javanese Language word meaning seller (or bakul, transformed into old spelling “bakoel”). BakoelTiket if interpreted in Indonesian is the ticket seller. BakoelTiket is an online flight ticketing service that may be different from other online ticketing services in general.
According to their email, Teddie Dian Patria – founder of BakoelTiket.com – claims that this is the first site in Indonesia which combines several airlines to compare and and is able to sell airline tickets realtime 24 hours without anyone behind the screen. BakoelTiket.com online ticketing service is currently able to serve several airlines reservation only, such as LionAir, Batavia Air, Merpati Air, and Garuda Indonesia. Other airlines and train tickets are still in early development stages.
