Bibbycam-Detikinet Holds Photo Contest for BlackBerry Users

Bibbycam, a photo editing app for BlackBerry, together with Detikinet hold a photo contest with the theme “Urban Photography”. This photo contest provides 5 BlackBerrys for best 5 photos.

Submitted photo must meet the contest theme, namely Urban Photography. Participant is free to explore and record the image of urban people/areas. The, the photo is customized with the filter from Bibbycam app to make the photo more interesting.

Certainly, the submitted photo is not allowed to contain inter-racial religious ethnic groups racism, pornography, violence or defamation. Participant can upload their photos until June 24, 2012.

Bibbycam-Detikinet Selenggarakan Kontes Foto untuk Pengguna BlackBerry

Bibbycam, aplikasi editing foto untuk BlackBerry, bekerja sama dengan Detikinet menyelenggarakan sebuah kontes foto dengan tema “Urban Photography”. Kontes foto ini menyediakan 5 buah BlackBerry untuk 5 foto terbaik.

Foto yang disertakan harus sesuai dengan tema kontes yakni Urban Photography. Peserta diberi kebebasan untuk mengeksplorasi dan mengabadikan potret kaum/wilayah urban. Kemudian, foto tersebut dikreasikan dengan menggunakan filter dari aplikasi Bibbycam untuk membuat foto tersebut lebih menarik.

Tentunya, foto yang disertakan tidak diperkenankan mengandung unsur yang menyinggung SARA, pornografi, kekerasan, atau pencemaran nama baik. Peserta ditunggu sampai dengan 24 Juni 2012 untuk mengunggah foto karya mereka.

Bibbycam: Photo Editing Application for BlackBerry

Currently not many photo editing applications is available for the BlackBerry. First the specs and the hardware (especially graphics card and processor) that are owned by the BlackBerry smartphone (in earlier times before a new line of mobile phone OS7) are still not as good as iPhone or Android owned by upper class; Second, from the initial allocation, BlackBerry is intended for a business communication tool instead of the entertainment or multimedia. As the result, most of Blackberry individual customers are drooling with the popularity of Instagram.

Sometimes ago we had reviewed Pikubo. Pikubo was intended to satisfy the “thirst” of BlackBerry users who want to have a qualified photo editing applications. Although it has received a fairly warm welcome, there have been no more developments after many months. There are still many problems here and there with this application. The hope to get a good photo editing application is lost.

Bibbycam: Aplikasi Editing Foto di BlackBerry

Tidak banyak aplikasi editing foto di BlackBerry. Pertama secara spesifikasi, hardware (terutama kartu grafik dan prosesor) yang dimiliki oleh smartphone BlackBerry (jaman dulu, sebelum jajaran baru ponsel OS7) masih tidak sebagus yang dimiliki oleh iPhone ataupun Android kelas atas. Kedua, peruntukan BlackBerry dari awal memang untuk alat komunikasi bisnis dan bukan fokus ke hiburan ataupun multimedia. Walhasil tentu saja kebanyakan konsumen perorangan BlackBerry yang ngiler dengan kepopuleran Instagram.

Beberapa waktu lalu kami pernah me-review Pikubo. Pikubo sempat digadang-gadang untuk setidaknya meredakan “dahaga” pengguna BlackBerry yang ingin memiliki aplikasi editing foto yang cukup mumpuni. Meskipun mendapat sambutan yang cukup hangat di depan, nampaknya belum ada lagi perkembangan pikubo setelah berbulan-bulan. Padahal masih banyak problem di sana-sini dengan aplikasi ini. Harapan untuk mendapatkan aplikasi editing foto yang cukup bagus menjadi pupus.
