Indonesia’s first location based social network, Koprol, is rumored to undergoing some kind of partnership deal with Singapore-based company Chalkboard. Chalkboard is a location-based ad network that acts like Google AdSense for publisher, but provide ads from business around the users judging from the location data.
Previously Koprol partners with Indonesia’s #1 discount site AdaDiskon to display discounts from businesses; but with Chalkboard partnership, should add a whole new level for Koprol in displaying geo-relevant advertising for its 1.5 million-ish user-base. And if the deal goes well, this should make some serious revenue for Yahoo-Koprol as they continue to expand to places where Yahoo is still cool.
