GeekFest 2012 Pushes Collaboration Between Communities

GeekFest 2012 (GeekFestID 2012) have been held on Saturday and Sunday, March 31 – April 1, 2012. The event, organized by Fowab and KibarKreasi, was held at Sasana Ganesha (Sabuga) Bandung, inviting more than 20 participants from various communities.

GeekFest itself, inspired by SXSW, as mentioned in the press release some time ago, is intended to collaborate variety of existing communities such as music, video, multimedia, information technology and gaming communities. The event was devided to several programs, such as main program, mini stage and exhibition from several communities. Aside from the already mentioned above, there are also comic, art graffiti and other communities.

Although not every community gave the work of collaboration, the highlight of the main event is about collaboration. In addition to collaboration in the form of work, collaboration also comes with a gathering of several communities in one event.

GeekFest 2012 Coba Wadahi Kolaborasi Antar Komunitas

Acara GeekFest 2012 (GeekFestID 2012) telah diselenggarakan hari Sabtu dan Minggu kemarin, 31 Maret – 1 April 2012. Acara yang diselenggarakan oleh Fowab dan KibarKreasi ini diadakan di Sasana Budaya Ganesha (Sabuga) Bandung, mengajak lebih dari 20 partisipan yang berasal dari berbagai komunitas.

GeekFest sendiri, yang terinspirasi oleh acara SXSW, seperti yang disebutkan dalam rilis pers beberapa waktu yang lalu memang ditujukan untuk mengkolaborasikan berbagai komunitas yang ada seperti musik, video, multimedia, teknologi informasi dan game. Ada beberapa bagian acara yang disediakan di event ini, seperti acara utama, mini stage serta eksibisi dari berbagai komunitas, selain dari komunitas yang telah disebutkan ada juga dari komik, graffiti art dan komunitas lain.

Coming Soon, “GeekFest: Celebrate the New Rock Stars!”

Last Thursday, FOWAB and Kibar Kreasi officially announced GeekFest: Celebrate the New Rock Stars! The event was announced at a press conference at the SAE Institute, fX Lifestyle X’nter, Jakarta.

GeekFest is a festival that combines music, movies, games, and multimedia technology. GeekFest also aims to raise Indonesian youngsters creative work related to technology and the people behind the scenes of the work or product.

The event will be held on 31st March 2012- 1st April 2012 at the Sasana Budaya Ganesha in Bandung. The event will invite various communities in Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya and Malang.

Performers who will be present on the stage include, among others, Jogja Hiphop Foundation, Bottlesmoker, Windyasari, Openlabs, Hellomotion, Saung Angklung Udjo, Hebring (Main Studios), Pet Shop Box, Homogenic, Ableton Live User Group Indonesia, Project Breed, Fat Pupa, Jogjaforce, iPhonesia, Movieholic, Indie Research, Photon Project and Midi Data .

Segera Hadir, “GeekFest: Celebrate the New Rock Stars!”

FOWAB dan Kibar Kreasi, hari ini Kamis kemarin mengumumkan secara resmi gelaran acara yang diberi nama GeekFest: Celebrate the New Rock Stars! Pengumuman resmi ini dilaksanakan melalui acara konferensi pers di SAE Institute, fX Senayan, Jakarta.

GeekFest sendiri merupakan sebuah festival yang mengkolaborasikan musik, film video, game dan mutimedia ke dalam sebuah wadah teknologi. GeekFest bertujuan juga untuk mengangkat karya kreativitas anak muda Indonesa yang berkaitan dengan teknologi serta orang dibalik layar dari karya atau produk tersebut.

Acara ini akan diselenggarakan pada tanggal tanggal 31 Maret 2012 – 1 April 2012 di Sasana Budaya Ganesha, Bandung. Acara ini mengajak berbagai komunitas seperti di Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya dan Malang. Acara akan menampilkan kolaborasi lintas genre, campuran dari musik, film video, multimedia dan teknologi.

Segera Hadir, FOWAB 7: Geek Meetup – Let’s Celebrate The New Rockstar

Sebagai persiapan acara besar di bulan Maret 2012 nanti, FOWAB akan kembali mengadakan meetup rutin mereka, acara yang ketujuh ini sekaligus menjadi acara pra-event untuk GeekFest yang rencananya diadakan pada bulan Maret 2012.

Untuk acara kali ini, FOWAB 7 bekerja sama dengan Lenovo Do Network, sebuah program dari Lenovo yang mendukung inovasi. FOWAB 7 membawa tema Geek Meetup – Let’s Celebrate The New Rockstar. Seperti yang dituliskan di situs resmi mereka, dari acara ini FOWAB berniat untuk mengajak komunitas berkumpul dan saling berdiskusi, selain itu mereka juga akan memperkenalkan lebih jauh tenteng event GeekFest tahun depan.
