One of the state-owned airlines, PT. Merpati Nusantara Airline, continues to improve its performance. The airlines that lost IDR250 billion in the first quarter of 2012 will release a new website design to improve the reservation system and online booking through the website. The new design is more sleek and more modern than the current one.
In a glance, the new look of the website which developed by Docotel is similar with Windows Mobile and Windows 8 interface concept. Merpati’s new website’s front page is using a neat and catchy tile concept. It also uses color blend that comes from Merpati’s logo which also looks nice when combined.
Not just a matter of appearance, Merpati’s new website design will also present a variety of features which support ticket purchasing by user. Among them, Merparti’s website will have a Top Destination feature which presents articles on famous tourist attractions in the country. Said feature will be located in the Travel Info submenu. Travel Info also has Event Calendar feature so the user can check on many celebrations and festivals across the country as well as checking holiday season so they can easily plan their trip just by looking at Merpati’s website.
