Today , Tuesday, April 24th 2012 Nokia announced the availability of the Nokia Browser 2.0. This browser is intended to S40 platform and using cloud technology to access web pages faster, more affordable, and perform better in Nokia S40 phones.
This can be realized because cloud technologies are used to adapt the standard web page in order to run better on S40 phones. This adaptation is also making web pages looks smaller and stored in the cloud. The result is the process to access the web pages can be three times faster comparing to a browser that isn’t using cloud technology. It is also able to reduce the capacity of the data usage so users can be more effective using their credit or internet quota.
In a press release received by DailySocial, Dieter May, Senior Vice President of Mobile Phones Services Nokia, said that with this latest version, Nokia creates new surfing experience, faster and better. The latest browser release is an important step for Nokia in order to have “connect a billion people with internet via mobile phone” achievement.
In addition to the usage of cloud technology, this new browser also allows users to browse web pages. Users can enjoy access to popular and favourite sites, including social media via the main page. The first page of Nokia Browser 2.0 for Indonesia has also been localized to facilitate user searching for popular content in Indonesia.
