Three Ex Rocket Internet Execs Launches Online Dining Directory for Indonesian Market

Former Rocket Internet executives Adrian Li, Steven Kim and Sean Liao today announced the launch of their new startup, an online dining directory called Qraved. The three founders are known for their roles in Zalora Singapore, OfficeFab and Wimdu across South East Asia for German-based internet company, Rocket Internet. Although Qraved hasn’t disclose their list of investors, but they told DailySocial that Silicon Valley investor 500startups are on board. Indonesian Photo Sharing App PicMix to Reach 10 Million Users This Week, 140 Million Photos

When you have an idea for a product and the market you want to enter is crowded with competitors or has one giant leader, chances are your product won’t get noticed. Founder of social mobile platform Elasitas, Calvin Kizana, was in this position in 2011, having sold his company to a Malaysian venture. He was itching to start something new and saw an opportunity to fix Instagram. Problem is, he’s not gonna be able to fix Instagram directly, so he built PicMix, a photo sharing app which launched on BlackBerry in early 2012.

This Holiday Is Flickr’s Chance To Shine

Flickr has given all of its members three months of free subscription to Flickr Pro. The subscription allows members access to every photo they’ve ever uploaded to Flickr, as opposed to just their last 200 photos for holders of free accounts, as well as access to features not available otherwise. This gesture came following the release of Flickr’s revamped iOS app which adds filters and photo editing functions courtesy of photo startup Aviary.

Instagram as a popular social network site indeed hasn’t managed to succeed in drawing revenue from its members, aside from receiving funding from investors and eventually acquired by Facebook. Ayofoto Supports HD Photos on Their New Release

Ayofoto! has launched the latest version of their service, version 5.0. This version has been introduced since April 1, 2012 and announced under the name Ayofoto! HD. It offers several amenities such as wider view and easier upload system.

From the announcement given through its newsletter, update of this latest version is focused on providing convenience for Ayofoto! user and changes in appearance following the nowadays trend. There are at least three changes highlighted by Ayofoto!. The first is Ayofoto! HD (high definition), this new look is tailored for high-resolution screen, minimum width of 1280 pixels by maximizing access to their service from tablet, computer screen with 1280px resolution and HD TV with internet TV facility.

Bibbycam: Photo Editing Application for BlackBerry

Currently not many photo editing applications is available for the BlackBerry. First the specs and the hardware (especially graphics card and processor) that are owned by the BlackBerry smartphone (in earlier times before a new line of mobile phone OS7) are still not as good as iPhone or Android owned by upper class; Second, from the initial allocation, BlackBerry is intended for a business communication tool instead of the entertainment or multimedia. As the result, most of Blackberry individual customers are drooling with the popularity of Instagram.

Sometimes ago we had reviewed Pikubo. Pikubo was intended to satisfy the “thirst” of BlackBerry users who want to have a qualified photo editing applications. Although it has received a fairly warm welcome, there have been no more developments after many months. There are still many problems here and there with this application. The hope to get a good photo editing application is lost.
