Twitter Introduces New Mobile Site, Leaves Out Lists

Twitter is on a roll. After announcing new mobile apps for iOS and Android, signing a deal with MediaTek to embed Twitter on millions of feature phones, and reworking search, Twitter announced that it has completed work on delivering a new mobile Twitter site which is faster, more compact, leaner, and consistent across platforms. The new version, which resembles the one that’s been available for smartphones for some time now, works across any mobile browser including on feature phones.

Apparently Twitter had been working on the new design for the past nine weeks and tested it on 300 different mobile devices that it has in its offices. The redesign gives the mobile site a look that is consistent with its full site as well as the current apps for iOS and Android. Twitter is intent on delivering the same experience no matter what platform people access it from although it still has some ways to go.

Travel Site RajaKamar Refreshes The Site, Integrates Reviews from TripAdvisor

RajaKamar, online travel service, is refreshing its site. Dominated with lime green nuance, it feels good, modern, and current. Moreover, it integrates reviews gathered from TripAdvisor — undoubtedly global leader in this area. The site also revamps the tagline, now using “Ahlinya Hotel Indonesia” or loosely translated as Indonesian Hotel Expert.

As member of big Indonesian travel companies network (consist of Smailing Tour, Panorama Tours, and Dwidaya Tour), RajaKamar should emerge as the leading service in the area. It lists more than 1800 hotels in 135 Indonesia’s cities. Last year, RajaKamar Group (consist of RajaKamar and MG Holiday) registered total sales of more than 75,000 roomnights and has seen monthly 10 per cent growth. Cited from the press release, Rajakamar CEO, Scott Blume, said, “We will focus on providing a wide range of hotel rooms in the two- to five-star categories across Indonesia. We have also added comprehensive destination information on the website to assist customers in finding interesting places and things to do during their stay.”

Prioritizing User’s Convenience, Sribu Revamps Its Look

Sribu, a media service that bridges creative project owner and designer is changing its look. The startup which takes user-generated content segment is suggesting that the reason behind revamping its look is based on input from its users where Sribu.com’s users demand convenience when using the site, as conveyed through a press release we received.

“In addition to the new look, we also improve the functionality on the website, namely the rating system. In the future, we will launch new additional features for the clients as well as for the designers,” said Ryan Gondokusumo (CEO of Sribu.com) in the press release.
Basically, there are a lot of changes on Sribu.com’s look from the beginning until now. You can compare the look of this site when we first discussed it on DailySocial with its new look today. We also observed that Sribu.com has repeatedly changed its look.

When compared to the previous look, Sribu.com’s look today is not so striking as before. The selection of dark colors on its UI might spoil its users to feel at home while accessing Sribu.com. And most importantly, will Sribu.com gain more user/traffic with its new look?
