Yahoo! Post Indonesia Officialy Launched

As informed, since its emerging since middle August, finally Yahoo! Post Indonesia is officially launched at the event for media and blogger at FX Senayan. Yahoo! Post Indonesia is the third Yahoo! Post after in Hong Kong and Korea. In both countries, Yahoo! Post is known as KPost and has been established since 2010. Yahoo! Post tries to make collaboration of two popular areas on the internet those are social and search.

Yahoo! Post is actually simple and easy to use. You just need to write certain keyword and you can chat with other Yahoo! Post users in forum-like conversation. The difference is no need to float the thread just to make it up because every topic will be shown as the searching result. iPad 2 and iPod touch was offered as prizes for Yahoo! Post users (term and condition applied) in the beginning of the launching event.

When I attended the event, It looked that the activity built for Yahoo! Post in several topics makes Yahoo! Post looks dynamic. The example is the thread on Facebook game The Sims Social that now is very popular. Any users can share or ask about the topic. Until this article written, there are 163 topics. Yahoo! Post Indonesia Resmi Diperkenalkan

Setelah kami informasikan kemunculannya sejak pertengahan bulan Agustus lalu, akhirnya Yahoo! Post Indonesia resmi diluncurkan dalam acara untuk media dan blogger di fX Senayan. Yahoo! Post Indonesia merupakan Yahoo! Post yang ketiga setelah di Hong Kong dan di Korea. Di Kedua negara tersebut, Yahoo! Post lebih dikenal sebagai KPost dan telah berjalan sejak tahun 2010. Yahoo! Post mencoba menggabungkan dua area yang sangat populer di Internet sekarang ini, sosial dan pencarian (social and search).

Yahoo! Post ini sesungguhnya sangat simpel dan mudah digunakan. Anda tinggal memasukkan kata kunci (keyword) tertentu dan Anda bisa langsung ngobrol dengan pengguna Yahoo! Post lainnya dalam bentuk percakapan serupa forum. Bedanya, tidak perlu ada lagi post-post yang sekedar untuk menaikkan thread-nya supaya berada di atas karena setiap topik pasti akan keluar di hasil pencari jika kata kuncinya bersesuaian. Yahoo Luncurkan “Keyword-based Social Discovery Platform”: Yahoo! Post

Yup, saya secara sadar menuliskan judul tersebut di atas. Saya sendiri tidak tahu apa artinya “Keyword-based Social Discovery Platform” tapi itulah kesimpulan saya atas layanan terbaru Yahoo! yaitu Yahoo! Post. Yahoo! Post adalah layanan pencarian berasarkan kata kunci yang memungkinkan pengguna untuk tetap terkoneksi dengan pengguna lain dengan minat yang sama.

Setelah meluncurkan produk yang sama di Korea dan Hongkong, sekarang Yahoo! juga meluncurkan Yahoo! Post di Indonesia, dimana diklaim oleh Yahoo! memiliki kata kunci dan pencarian sosial yang tinggi dan menjanjikan. Konten di Yahoo! Post seluruhnya dihasilkan oleh pengguna; layanan ini pada dasarnya adalah sebuah forum berbasis kata kunci.

Yahoo! Launches A Keyword-based Social Discovery Platform : Yahoo! Post

Yes, I just made that headline up. I have no idea what “Keyword-based Social Discovery Platform” is but that’s what I can come up with for Yahoo! Post. Yahoo! Post is a keyword-based search that allows users to also connect with people of the same interest.

After launching the same product in Korea and Hongkong, Yahoo! now launches Post in Indonesia which they claim has high and promising number for keyword and social search. Content at Yahoo! Post is entirely user generated; essentially a keyword-based forum.

From the website (in Indonesian) you can easily find information based on specific topics, it’s like a forum but divided by topics in a better way than the usual forum with its sub-category. On the frontpage you can see the popular forum, popular topics and a directory structuring the whole content on the website.

Yahoo! claims that this product is providing a new way for users to discover new content on the web based on their social preferences. This could be the sign that Yahoo! is trying to obsolete its content-based products including search, groups, YM etc.
